Position: PLANT APPRENTICE TECHNICIANS FULL TIME EDMONTON, AB POSITION DESCRIPTION Layfield is looking to add Plant Apprentice Technicians to our Fabrication team. The Plant Apprentice Technicians are key production personnel and are responsible for the proper set-up and operation of equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic hand tools, previous forklift experience and a wiliness to learn. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Production * Maximizes quality, production levels and efficiencies pertaining to all geosynthetic fabrication activities. * Correctly sets ups, operates, maintains and lubricates all equipment. * Communicates with the Shift Lead Hand regarding deficiencies in both materials and equipment. * Makes a positive contribution towards continuous improvement of teamwork and quality of work place objectives. Quality Control & Assurance * Ensure quality in production by following organizational standards and ISO9001-2015 Safety * Understand, support, and adhere to the company’s health and safety policies, programs and procedures * Attend and participate in safety meetings * Complete risk assessment forms * Report any equipment or building damage EDCUATION & EXPERIENCE * Experience with basic hand tools * Previous forklift experience would be an asset * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * WHMIS CertificateApply at: https://www.layfieldgroup.com/careers/current-openings/plant-apprentice-technicians/ Company: Layfield Group Salary: To Be Determined Contract: PERMANENT
