Sears RE-1801 MW/FM Stereo Receiver for Sale. Made in Korea by Foster Electronics for Sears Roebuck in the early 1970’s. It was apart of Sears Professional Audio Series, and are identical to the Audio Reflex AGS-150 receivers that were sold out of independent stereo shops. This receiver has a large power supply w/ dual-gate MOSFET integrated discrete circuitry that produces over 100 watts RMS of power. It’s also housed in a handsome wooded case that measures 22.5”w x 12.5”d x 7”t. It weighs just under 30 lb’s. The control cluster consists of a stylish five band graphic equalizer, hi/low frequency filters, reverberation control, stereo/mono switch and a microphone volume control. The tuner section has an old-school “slide ruler” backlit dial with gyro tuning. Twin meters for signal strength and center tuning. There’s also Multiplex filter, FM muting & AF (audio frequency) controls. The rear RCA inputs include MM Phono, Tape and Auxiliary. The tape input can be used as another auxiliary input. There’s also tape outputs for recording. The rear speaker terminals include the right & left outputs for the front main speakers, remote speakers, and the optional 4D sound rear speakers. Used, but in good working condition.
