This is a a 1930/40's pigskin leather Intercollegiate Spalding J5-V Football in really great shape for it's 80 years plus .
Still with it's original bladder , which is holding air pressure just fine !.
The lacing is tight still , and below it is the circular Spalding logo that was used for Official College games at the time . below the logo to the right are stamped the words 'Lock Stitched ' ~ which might assist in connecting this ball to an exact time period .
On the panels above and below the lacing are imprinted faintly the names of either the college involved , or the winning team on that day ~ which gives the ball more value in the collectors' world.
These balls are not easy to find , especially not in this fine condition . Auctions in the U.S. often sell them for extremely high prices . This ball is being offered for the reasonable price of $ 100.00 , plus shipping from British Columbia .
